The America250 Carteret County Celebration is a free, countywide event honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Carteret County's extraordinary Revolutionary War history - that includes the final battle of the American Revolution fought along our coast.
There will be live reenactments, storytelling, hands-on children's activities, interactive exhibits, and more!
Thank you to our community collaborators: Carteret County Government, Morehead City, History Museum of Carteret County, Beaufort Historical Association, DAR - Fort Hancock Chapter, Newport Historical Museum, NC Maritime Museum, Carteret County Public Libraries, Fort Macon State Park, and the Carteret County News-Times.
