About this Event
Join us for a festive hour of beautiful music and delicious mulled wine before the Christmas lights switch-on in Newquay Town. Immerse yourself in the beautiful sounds of the organ as the esteemed organist Martin Palmer performs live in the chruch.
About Martin Palmer:
Martin studied the organ, cello, composition and conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, and took the University of London degree. Whilst at the RAM, he sang with the London Philharmonic Choir, gaining invaluable eperience working alongside many of the world's top conductors, orchestras and soloists. During his career he has founded many choral societies and chamber choirs. Until his recent retirement, Martin was the Director of Music at Truro School, where he built up one of the largest and busiest music departments in the southwest. He is also the conductor of our affiliated orchestra, Truro Symphony Orchestra.
It's the perfect way to get into the festive spirit and also marking the soft launch of Alma Winter Arts Weekend.
We are proud to be part of the Be Newquay festival. Commissioned by Cornwall Council project Experience Newquay. It is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
