Alchemy of Ascension

Our theme for this session invites us to explore how we can purposefully commit to the work of becoming future ancestors in the creative archive we leave behind.

With yoga and creative writing at the center of our gathering, we’ll engage our senses through an ayurvedic inspired ritual with infused herbal elixirs. Yoga and Ayurveda come to us from the ancient Indian Vedic system as an approach to harmonizing our body, mind, and spirit. We’ll be in dialogue around the healing benefits and usage context of plant medicine for our creative practice.

This workshop features an herbal rolling station, light snacks as well as a handcrafted menu of warming herbal elixirs infused with the flavors of seasonal produce to engage our sense of taste.

This is the second in a series of ecowomanist yoga and creative writing workshops. In communion with elements of nature, attendees are invited to ground in our sensual knowledge as a ritual of embodied presence. Here, we arrive at our collective creative practice with an honesty about what it means to be surviving this moment in history that can only be derived from the courage to feel into it all. We’ll engage in writing exercises that beckon those of us who feel a call to create to ascend and be transformed by the clarity that comes from remembering who we are and where we come from.
