This class meets the requirements to obtain a State of Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit (ACHP). After successfully completing the class, the student will leave with the required paperwork (completed, and ready to deliver, with the addition of the separate fee required by the state), to obtain their Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit. All class materials are provided, including the use of firearms and ammunition to complete the live-fire qualification.
Alaska does not require a permit to carry concealed as long as all the laws are followed. Many people prefer to take this class to learn the subject matter and laws related to carrying concealed and also to obtain a permit with reciprocity in many other states.
This training is conducted by AIM-COMM, the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Lead Instructors are certified by the State of Alaska Department of Public Safety to conduct this course meeting the Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit training requirements.
All class materials are provided, including the use of firearms and ammunition to complete the live-fire qualification. As a bonus, this training includes the NRA CCW Course and successful students will receive an NRA CCW course completion certificate.
WHO MAY ATTEND: Eligible adults, 21 years of age or older, who may legally possess a handgun in the state of Alaska may attend.
