Several airports in the US and globally are taking measures to reduce their environmental impact. We'll hear about concrete examples from Renée Azerbegi, an engineering expert who has been at the forefront of sustainable architecture and building design for decades, including with Denver International Airport.
This is a hybrid event at Common Flame (formerly Jefferson Unitarian Church) in Golden, Colorado, with a livestream option available for remote viewing.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Renée Azerbegi is a sustainability and decarbonization leader who helps clients advance high-performance, resilient, and low-carbon infrastructure. She specializes in net-zero energy and carbon strategies, electrification, renewable energy, resiliency, and sustainability planning for aviation, federal, municipal, state, and transit clients. Renée has led more than 20 LEED Platinum and 20 net-zero energy projects and is a recognized speaker and author on sustainability, energy management, air quality, and resiliency.
An active industry leader, Renée has contributed to the United States Green Building Council’s LEED for Airports and Museums committees, is a past president of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society, and serves as a co-chair of AIA Colorado’s Committee on the Environment. She holds degrees in Environmental Science and Building Systems Engineering from the University of California Berkeley and the University of Colorado Boulder, respectively, and continues to advance sustainability through both her professional and community leadership.
