Paint Yourself Free Workshop with Joan Fullerton

Join us in person for a fun and inspiring workshop sponsored by the The Society of Layerists in Multi-Media, a national network for artists and other persons interested in a holistic perspective.

🖼️ This is a rare opportunity to join Colorado based Joan Fullerton, an acclaimed international artist educator devoted to uplifting others, at a workshop in Colorado!

Joan is an expert creativity coach who inspires uninhibited humor and the ability to trust your impulses, and encourages childlike play. A non-judgmental approach to artmaking expands her students’ confidence, enabling genuine, expressive paintings. Read more.

What to Expect 🧑‍🎨

Draw, scrape, roll, drag, spray, stamp, lift, write, drip, your way to fascinating non-objective or abstracted representation. This class will take you beyond worn-out or predictable painting methods. We’ll experiment with innovative techniques and a mindset of relaxed awareness designed to cultivate your curiosity and self-confidence.

There will be inspiring demos and time to try it your way. Group critiques model how to “see” more and appreciate more in your work and all art.

Discussions will address confidence, procrastination, vulnerability, curiosity, courage, inspiration, intuition, metaphor, symbolic elements, competition, belief systems, and more! Our goal is to expand your imagination, productivity, and authenticity. People are more open and creative when they “play,” so plan on some goofy behavior and much laughter with Joan’s guidance and good vibes! 💫

Check in is 9:30-10am, the workshop starts prompty at 10am. All artistic levels welcome!
