About the Instructor:
Kingsley UGŪM Ibeneche is a Nigerian‑American choreographer, dancer, musician, and writer. Raised in Camden, New Jersey, by parents from Nigeria, Kingsley’s practice is rooted in the sounds and movement of his Nigerian heritage while drawing on training in ballet, house, and contemporary dance.
Across stage, screen, and studio, Kingsley’s work bridges concert dance, commercial performance, and experimental theater. He trained for his BFA in Ballet Performance at the University of the Arts. He has worked as a company dancer for notable companies, including Pilobolus Dance Theater, Philadanco 2, and Just Sole Street Theater. He has toured internationally for several years and has performed in high‑profile media and live contexts with artists and platforms such as Alicia Keys, Travis Scott, Halsey, James Blake, GAP, Nike, and Amazon Prime: Fallout.
House Class Description
This class explore the connection between west African grooves and house dance. You will learn the fundamentals of House movement and quality of groove theory.All levels are welcome.
