As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, Lenape artist Holly Wilson, has been commissioned by the Penn Museum to transform its East Entrance lobby with a large-scale, mixed-media installation themed “Native Futurism.”
PUBLIC DEDICATION AND ARTIST TALK RESCHEDULED***
On Saturday, July 11 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, meet the artist and learn how the new site-specific artwork centers an Indigenous-led perspective, offering nuance and complexity to the nation’s evolving story. Wilson will share more about her artistic practice—photography, painting, and metal casting—weaves in her personal history and Lenape heritage.
