Join the Portrait Junkies Photography Workshop!
Love capturing amazing photos? This in-person workshop is perfect for anyone eager to step up their portrait game. Get hands-on tips, tricks, and cool techniques from pros who are just as obsessed with photography as you are. Whether you're a newbie or looking to sharpen your skills, come hang out, learn, and snap some killer shots!
Come experience what it is like to work with an amazing lineup of models and network with awesome like-minded creatives. This event will take place at Portrait Junkies studio in the Jasper Building unit 202. We will create art in a fun and laid-back environment allowing photographers to practice their skills and learn. Photographers from all levels of experience are welcome to join us for this event. Staff will be on hand to assist with camera settings and also give tips on lighting, composition, and framing.
There will be a 15 min lighting tutorial for those interested in joining. George Marable @marablephoto will demonstrate some of his lighting techniques. You’ll leave with the instructions that you need to create these looks on your own.
We will discuss the setup of an in-studio portrait shot. This will be a one-light setup utilizing off-camera flash and reflectors for fill light. Each photographer will have the opportunity to shoot. We will provide the strobes, modifiers, and triggers. We currently have triggers for Canon, Nikon, Sony. We will provide light refreshments and snacks.
