About this Event

AfBC UK – Africa Summit 2026: Capital, Investment & Projects Forum

The Capital, Investment & Projects Forum is a featured session of the AfBC UK – Africa Summit 2026, taking place in London on Thursday, 15 October 2026, from 13:30 - 15:00 BST. Organised by the African Business Chamber (AfBC), the forum forms part of the Summit's wider agenda focused on strengthening UK–Africa economic cooperation under the theme "Unlocking Sustainable Economic Growth Opportunities: Transforming UK–Africa Trade Relations, Investment and Value Chains for Resilience."

The forum is designed to bring together investors, project developers, government officials, development finance institutions, business leaders, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and international partners to explore opportunities for mobilising capital into high-impact projects across Africa. As investment flows between the UK and Africa continue to expand, the session will provide a platform to discuss innovative financing mechanisms, project preparation, risk mitigation, and public-private partnerships that can accelerate sustainable economic development.

Discussions are expected to focus on strategic sectors including infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, technology, healthcare, logistics, transport, mining, and industrial development. Particular emphasis will be placed on identifying bankable projects, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), expanding blended finance solutions, and improving access to institutional and private capital. Participants will also examine how environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, sustainable finance, and impact investing are shaping Africa's evolving investment landscape.

Beyond investment opportunities, the forum aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue between project sponsors and investors by showcasing practical case studies, successful financing models, and emerging opportunities across African markets. It provides an environment for networking, deal-making, and partnership development, enabling stakeholders to connect with potential financiers, strategic partners, government representatives, and development organisations committed to delivering transformative projects across the continent.

As one of the Summit's key sessions, the Capital, Investment & Projects Forum reinforces the African Business Chamber's mission of promoting sustainable trade, investment, and economic collaboration between the United Kingdom and Africa. By convening decision-makers from the public and private sectors, the forum seeks to catalyse investment into commercially viable and socially impactful projects that contribute to economic resilience, job creation, infrastructure development, and long-term prosperity across African economies.
