Have Your Say: Neighbourhood Health Centres In Barnet
About this Event
The government has announced that, across the country, new Neighbourhood Health Centres and Hubs will be opening over the next few years. Centres are already being developed in other London boroughs and we are keen to hear your input about the plans for Barnet. This event will also be a chance to learn more about what Healthwatch Barnet has been doing over the last year.
Healthwatch Barnet
We’ll provide a broad overview of how Healthwatch Barnet is using people’s input to help improve a variety of services. This will include an update on the projects we are involved in. There will also be opportunities for you to share your feedback to help shape our work.
Neighbourhood Health Centres
We’ll then discuss the Neighbourhood Health Centres in more depth. NHS England has shared guidance with plans that these centres will be open on weekdays, evenings and weekends. They describe ‘one stop shops’ for patients to visit GPs, social care staff and a range of other services such as mental health support and benefits advice. However, the way these centres are delivered in Barnet will depend on local need and the type of buildings/spaces which are available.
This event will be an opportunity to share your views and experiences with the Barnet Neighbourhood Teams who are leading this work and help shape their plans. We are keen to hear about:
- How you think Neighbourhood Health Centres should operate in Barnet
- What services these centres should provide
- What you think is needed in the area where you live
