About this Event
This months meet up...
Kirsten and I are so excited to be hosting this event in June. ADHD and neurodivergency comes up at nearly every meet up; the struggles, the advantages, the little personality traits that unite us and divide us.. So when Zoe Rose told us about her wonderful sister we knew we had to have her at one of our future meet ups.
More about our ADHD Expert
Lisa was diagnosed with ADHD in her mid-30s. She has since used her lived experience to advocate for neuro-inclusion in the workplace, ensuring that neurodivergent colleagues feel supported and informed, through ‘lunch-and-learn’ talks, raising awareness amongst senior managers and neurodiversity support sessions.
A Communications Specialist in the NHS and currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Communications and PR, Lisa has a keen interest in accessible and inclusive communications.
She is committed to helping people with ADHD find practical strategies to thrive - whether they are self employed, working within an organisation, or navigating academic study.
Co working opportunity.
We are hosting June's meet up at The Forge in Central Bristol, Buffy has offered us the opportunity to continue the meet up and create a co working space. (Maybe we can all sit together in a supportive circle and call our GP's and finally get moving on getting our diagnosis....no? just me?)
Co working will be £15pp. We will have the space until 4pm.
please order a seperate ticket to register your interest or email [email protected]
Supporting a cause close to our hearts
We’re really pleased to share that we’ve chosen a charity to support for the rest of the year: Marmalade Trust.
"Marmalade Trust is an award-winning loneliness charity for all ages, dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness and supporting people to find new social connections. Since 2013, we have directly helped thousands of people and have reached millions more. Our mission is simple: to create a society where we recognise that loneliness exists and support each other to make new connections."
For those of you who’ve joined us before, you’ll know these meet-ups started from something very real. Kirsten created them during a time when she was navigating being a new mum, newly single, and launching her own business all at once. It was a lot...and she simply wanted people around her. From that, this community began to grow.
Running your own business comes with so much freedom, but it can also feel incredibly isolating. There are moments where it’s lonely, where things feel heavy, or where you just need someone who understands.
That’s exactly why this space exists.
We want this to be a community where you always have someone to turn to. Whether that’s on the tougher days, or when you have something exciting to celebrate. A place where connections feel genuine, and support comes naturally.
Thank you for being part of it. It truly means a lot.
We can’t wait to see you in June.
