About this Event

Join us for a half-termly networking opportunity to connect with likeminded educators who are passionate about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.

The #DiverseEd Bristol hub launched in Autumn 2023 with a #DiverseEd conference on Saturday 7th October – we then held 5 half-termly meet ups across the year, hosted by Bridge Learning Campus. Last academic year we moved the hub to be hosted by Bristol Cathedral Choir School and we had 6 half-termly meet ups across the year. This is our 3 year of running the hub network and based on feedback we will continue it at BCCS.

Our meet ups:

  • Each half-term we will host an in-person 90 minute session for DEIB leaders, champions and advocates to come together to grow consciousness, build confidence and develop competence.

Each session will include:

  • Being inspired by guest speakers
  • Sharing best practice from the network
  • Reflecting on current challenges
  • Discussing what is having impact
  • Networking with colleagues to forge collaborative projects

Proposed Dates for your Diary:

  • Wednesday 1st October 2025, 4.30-6.00pm
  • Wednesday 3rd December 2025, 4.30-6.00pm
  • Wednesday 21st January 2026, 4.30-6.00pm

  • Wednesday 6th May 2026, 4.30-6.00pm
  • Wednesday 24th June 2026, 4.30-6.00pm

The format of the sessions:

  • 4.30-4.45pm Networking
  • 4.45-5.15pm Best practice - an external speaker will deliver on an elected theme or a local leader will share a case study
  • 5 .15-5.30pm Q&A
  • 5.30-6.00pm Networking

  • The membership fee covers the cost of tea/ coffee/ biscuits and the delivery/ travel for our guest speaker.
