Adaptive Yoga Moves Any Body Training is designed to increase awareness and knowledge about how to instruct adaptive yoga to individuals with neuromuscular conditions, with an emphasis on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Trainees will gain confidence in their ability to meet the unique needs of their students with the gift, art, and science of yoga. All attendees will gain an understanding of how Adaptive Yoga can impact the mind, body, and spirit and be offered as an umbrella for wellness. Clinicians will learn how yoga can complement patient treatment plans.
This comprehensive training program is designed to equip yoga instructors, physical and occupational therapists, and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to teach adaptive yoga in alignment with the guiding principles as outlined in Adaptive Yoga Moves Any Body (AYMAB) book by Mindy Eisenberg, Founder and Director of Yoga Moves MS. The principles are combined with an overview of neuromuscular conditions, poses, and multi-dimensional adaptations for students with a range of abilities, the application of mindfulness principles, yoga therapeutics, class design, and administration. Trainees become part of a growing and supportive adaptive yoga community of instructors and students.
Mentorship programs are available after training completion. We will support you when you join our team or initiate a class in your community.
