About this Event
ABOUT THE EVENT
To raise awareness of the European Movement UK’s ‘Face the Music’ campaign, Stratford4Europe is delighted to be hosting A SUMMER NIGHT'S MUSIC with young artists appearing by kind permission of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is a world class institution with an international reputation for providing exceptional training for the musicians, actors, stage managers and performers of the future.
Featuring in the concert will be EPSILON BRASS an award-winning chamber music group composed of five young artists: Charlie, Jack, Jhih-Yi, Morgan and Samuel. The group has been a recipient of the Bernard Brown Chamber Prize and it was a finalist in the Leamington Music Prize.
They will be performing a variety of styles from mainstream brass quintet works to overlooked and innovative pieces shaping today’s chamber music scene.
Most recently they have performed at St Philip’s Cathedral, Birmingham and in March made their debut at the Justham Auditorium of the CBSO Centre as part of their ‘Centre Stage’ Concerts.
Appearing alongside them will be the CANTRELLE FLUTE QUARTET made up of second year students from the Conservatoire.
Matilda, Ella, Adelaide and Katie have been together since September 2023 and have been enjoying playing in regular lunchtime concerts around the West Midlands.

ABOUT THE ‘FACE THE MUSIC' CAMPAIGN
The European Movement UK’s ‘Face the Music’ campaign is calling on the government to find a solution to the barriers faced by musicians post Brexit wishing to work in Europe.
These barriers are having a devastating impact on the music industry and especially on young musicians about to start their careers.
More information about the campaign and the European Movement UK’s ‘Face the Music’ petition can be found by following this link.
