About this Event
In 2020, the world went into lockdown. Now, 5 years later, the worst of the Covid Crisis is past us (although Long Covid hurts and new cases still occur). Therefore it is ‘right, meet, and proper’, to mark that end with a ritual. This ritual will be a time of reflection on all that has been lost, a celebration of what survived, and a way to mark the end of the time of crisis.
We know we will have more to do, caring for those impacted, and we will have to deal with a new endemic disease. But we can, and by honoring the past we make room for the future.
This ritual was partly designed in Sam Webster’s Transformative Ritual Design class at the Alembic and will be finalized at two ritual design meetings on Mondays, March 3rd and 10th (contact us if you wish to participate).
Join us in ritual to mark and move on from this devastating disease and its impacts on our society. Reclaim your open heart and soul as we go forward and find our way beyond.
Sam Webster, PhD, M.Div., Mage, hails from the Bay Area and has taught magick publicly since 1984, becoming a master of divinity in 1993, and a doctor of history in 2015. He is an Adept of the Golden Dawn, and an initiate of Wiccan, Druidic, Buddhist, Hindu, and Masonic traditions. He is currently the Interim Executive Director of the Berkeley Alembic.
