What is Restorative Yoga?
It is a gentle form of Yoga that focuses on relaxation and healing. We use props to support the body COMPLETELY to invite a complete relaxed state. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and can be super beneficial for those recovering from an injury or illness.
Restorative Yoga allows us to slow down and connect to our body. It is a form of self care that can release tension and stress in the body therefore it can improve sleep and our overall well-being. It can improve our digestion and Come along for complete relaxation and the perfect antidote to our busy lives.
Yoga Nidra also known as Yogic sleep helps us to find peace in a restless world. Yoga Nidra is currently sweeping the globe and is recognised as one of the βgo-toβ practices for recovering from long-term fatigue. People use this practice to help fall asleep, heal chronic pain, and improve well-being. Scientific research shows us the efficacy of rest as the antidote for a restless world and a way to recover from stress, overwhelm, and burnout
Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic sleep is a form of deep meditation usually laying on a mat, guided carefully following a specific format by your certified teacher.
It has a universal approach to examining each layer of our human experience (The Koshas): the body, breath and energy system, emotions, mind, ego-self, and the bliss that lies beyond all of the this.
What you need:
A Yoga mat or similar
Bolster
1 or 2 yoga blocks
eye mask (travel or sleep type) or eye pillow
2 - 4 cushions
2 or more blankets or towels
A suitcase or large bag to carry in π€£
Bottled water
Any Medication you may require
Wear warm layers that allow movement to include warm socks.
I will be bringing a few spare bolsters and blankets.
