Are you curious about what an Emotional Healing workshop entails?
Have you ever felt as though your emotions overwhelm you, leaving you to wonder, "What just happened? That doesn't feel like me"? Or perhaps you find yourself stuck in feelings that seem to consume you?
It's important to recognize that many emotions—such as anger, anxiety, worthlessness, and depression—can often mask grief, that profound sadness that can hit us unexpectedly. It might be your grief trying to express itself!
Grief is not solely about losing a loved one, a pet, or a relationship; it can also relate to mourning the life you envisioned, the dream job that eluded you despite your efforts, being diagnosed with a life-changing condition, or even the loss of a beloved childhood toy that still lingers in your memory.
Grief is not a linear journey; there is no timeline to follow. It's something we must feel and navigate through—an experience we sometimes wish to avoid. This can lead to emotions getting stuck in a loop, often manifesting as different feelings. Our minds might associate these emotions with something other than grief to make it feel less daunting. Do those feelings ever seem to fade? Or do they feel like a recurring cycle, leaving you puzzled as to why the weight of the world rests on your shoulders without any clear answers?
The five stages of grief are:
- Denial: This serves as a protective shield against the shock of loss, causing avoidance of the topic.
- Anger: Blaming ourselves for things beyond our control.
- Bargaining: Engaging in the blame game—"Why didn’t I? I could have. I should have."
- Depression: Experiencing sadness, which can often be the longest phase of grief.
- Acceptance: Becoming ready to remember the positive aspects, the achievements, and the joyful memories. Although we still feel the loss and dislike the situation, the overwhelming feelings begin to subside.
In my Emotional Healing Fairyhouse workshop focused on grief, we allow our emotions to have a voice, to be heard, seen, and released in a safe environment.
We share heartfelt memories and emotions with fellow souls who may resonate with our experiences. This shared journey reminds us that we are not alone, providing support and potential connections that can last beyond the workshop.
We'll engage in a gentle meditation, honoring ourselves and our unique positions in the grief process, bringing us back to our heart space. This shared time can be a profound step in your healing journey.
Next, we will channel our emotions into crafting a fairyhouse. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or trying something new, everyone can participate—there's no right or wrong way. It’s all about expressing your emotions, and I promise you'll be amazed at what your creativity can bring, reigniting joy in your heart.
All materials will be provided, with a focus on using natural resources as much as possible, along with additional materials for that extra sparkle to let your imagination soar. I’ll also have a variety of teas and biscuits available, so all you need to do is arrive with an open heart, ready to relax and let your emotions guide you.
As this is a sensitive topic, I recommend that participants be aged 14 and up, accompanied by an adult.
