About this Event
Learn about the elements of contemporary and modern mass floral design in this lively workshop where you will master the art of upcycled flora design by using a hollowed out pumpkin.
In comtemporary design, creativity and imagination are used to devise new approaches to the selection and organization. Grouping of a limited variety of plant material that emphasizes bold blocks of color and contrasting forms and textures are hallmarks of modern mass design. The class will be putting two of these styles together for a fall-themed arrangement.
You'll walk away with the confidence to design for any occasion, as we cover key floral design principles:
- Learn the critical first steps to planning your arrangement.
- Explore different design aesthetics with visual examples
- Get the scoop on selecting the best-lasting flowers and greens, choosing a functional internal container, and understanding the purpose of your piece.
Join us and make your Thanksgiving table truly unforgettable!
Plant materials will be provided but participants should bring their own clippers, wire cutters, long garden gloves, and a box to take their arrangement home in.
