About this Event
Meditation and plant-based living have been staples of Chinese Buddhist practice for more than a millennium. All are welcome to join us for a brief introduction to Chan — also known as Zen — meditation with Chan Master Xianshu from Deer Lake Monastery (Guangdong, China), who will speak about how both meditation and plant-based foods may contribute to the future of mindful and compassionate living. Co-sponsored by the USD Center for Food Systems Transformation, the USD Good Food Club, and the Art of Mindfulness Foundation.
A complimentary plant-based lunch will be provided with RSVP.
