Lafayette Fire Company is holding its 6th Annual Fasnacht for Fassnachts Event to help you celebrate Fasnacht Day and to help us remember one of our greatest community servants, Jan Fassnacht.
New this year: Preorder by the dozen (12) or half dozen (6) fasnachts (A mix of powdered sugar and glazed supplied via Bird-in-Hand Bakery). Please Preorder by February 27th to guarantee your order - if you forget, we will have a fixed number of fasnachts available for sale during our pick-up times.

Jan Fassnacht was not only an amazing volunteer with our fire company, but also served with local EMS agencies and with the East Lampeter Township Police Department. His legacy lives on in our Fire Company and our community through his wife, Coral, an associate member & Director of Lafayette and his two sons, Alec & Brett, who serve as firefighters as well as his niece & associate member, Kari. Help us remember the life of a great community servant, raise valuable cancer prevention funds to protect our current volunteers and consider following Jan's lead and join the Lafayette team.
In 2024, with the funds raised from fasnacht sales, a brand new Gear Washer/Extractor was purchased and installed and put into use by the volunteers to reduce the carcinogens on the volunteers' gear. A huge thank you to all of those that have supported this meaningful event every year.
This year, the goal of the fasnacht fundraiser is to purchase new Nomex hoods that protect the firefighters' neck, ears, head and exposed skin around the face piece.
All proceeds benefit the Lafayette Fire Company Cancer Prevention Initiatives.
