It's an honor to offer this unique opportunity to explore the 5 elements with Sylvie Minot - trained by Gabrielle Roth (2004) and respected elder. Sylvie is a dedicated soul to nature, the medicine circle, indigenous people - and supporting those on a challenging lifepath through movement and community.

Join us on a Wave’s journey through the 5Rhythms® using the maps of the elements, earth, fire, water, air and ether.
The 5Rhythms®, Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness, comprise a simple but profound movement practice meant to connect us to, transform and heal body, heart, mind, soul and spirit.
Our bodies hold stories and trauma lingers inside, using the elements to help us move through and release what is no more needed. We will use the element of earth to ground in the rhythms of flow, the element for fire to ignite our passion through the rhythms of staccato, and we will cleanse with the waters in the rhythms of chaos. Finding our wings through air in the rhythms of lyrical, we will become and expand through ether in the rhythms of stillness.
Traveling through the body, we will dance to the edge, and become free.
About Silvie Minot:
Sylvie is certified to teach Waves and Heartbeat and was trained by Gabrielle Roth in 2004. She is part of the 5 R Teacher Training Staff and Open floor training.
The elements, natural world, energy, spirit, and sound healing are a few of her influences, especially in the Medicine Circle she created in 2008.
Sylvie is the Founder and Executive Director of Syzygy Dance Project, a non-profit organization that transforms lives through dance. She has brought dance to inmates, people in recovery, veterans and blind veterans, corporations, health care professionals, elders, people with chronic illness.
Sylvie’s work is inspired by Angeles Arrien's teachings in indigenous healing rituals and Carolyn Myss’s energy medicine. She also draws elements from studying sound healing with Tito La Rosa in Peru. Sylvie offers Medicine Circles in the United States, Australia, and Mexico.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from San Jose State University and a Master's Degree in Theology specializing in Spirituality and Holistic Health. She is often described as a catalytic shape-shifter because of her ability to meet people right where they are and move with them into new possibilities.
Her journey of learning and growth therefore extends far beyond the realm of dance.
Sylvie is writing a book about her life's work. Her teaching is the culmination of these experiences put into motion.
