About this Event
Eliana will draw on over 20 years of life experiences as a mother, wife, friend, grief and PTSD coach, speaker, and wounded healer, to share some simple but effective de-stressors to use with yourself and your family to navigate the inevitable friction of closeness and togetherness in the best possible way, for a more joyous and peaceful holiday season.
1. Breath Work
- A quick effective breathing exercise to help calm the nervous system, reducing anxiety and stress while increasing focus and clarity, shifting the body from a "fight or flight" response to a state of relaxation.
2. Reframing/Take Two Exercise
- A simple but effective cognitive technique to help shift perspective by “reframing” stressful situations in a more positive or productive light. Lead participants in the "Take Two" exercise where they reflect on a recent stressful situation and mentally “rewrite” the experience with a positive or constructive outcome.
3. EFT (Tapping)
- EFT combines acupressure and neurolinguistics psychology to release emotional tension and then anchor positive reframing by tapping specific meridian points while calling out the stressors and moving the heart and brain into positive reframing.
4. Hero’s Exercise
- Participants identify three heroes or role models, focusing on the traits they admire. This exercise helps individuals recognize and anchor those same qualities within themselves for personal and professional growth. Very good for encouraging family members to break out of their sometimes negative current self images, and recognize and grow their existing strengths
5. Gratitude Exercise for Yourself and/or Your Family
- A simple, fun powerful tool to reduce stress by intentionally focusing on gratitude, promoting positive changes in brain function. Consistent gratitude practice can shift the brain’s focus away from stress and negativity, enhancing mental health of the whole family through this guided neuroplasticity exercise.
Concepts introduced will include Guided Neuroplasticity, Guided Visualizations, the Japanese perspective of Wabi-Sabi and it’s pragmatic example of Kintsugi, all useful perspectives and frameworks to help you and your family get to the “eye of the hurricane” no matter what issues, old or new, arise.
About Eliana
Although, Eliana had a decade long thriving practice in Dentistry in Brazil, a traumatic event shattered her family and eventually, all her career plans. Since then, she has been on a long healing journey, where she dealt with deep depression, panic attacks, anxiety, agoraphobia, suicidal spells and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
In addition to a decade of Jungian therapy and another of mentorship by a master in that field, she looked for and found solutions in various spiritual and wisdom traditions, different herbal and natural therapies, cognitive neuroscience, EFT (tapping, which combines neurolinguistics, and acupressure points), guided meditation and guided neuroplasticity. She worked with world class “coaches of coaches”, including Linda Chandler, and Marcia Wieder, but found that she was less a “life coach” and more of a wounded healer guide.
Moving forward, she realized that many other people are also suffering in a thousand different ways, and she decided to devote her life’s work to sharing this healing journey, through coaching, speaking and writing.
She teaches people to use these tools to help find the “eye of the hurricane“, so they can create a sense of Inner Peace that allows them to heal and thrive regardless of what is going on around them. She helps them reframe and regain control of their hearts and minds, and move back into healing and joy.
