3D Character Design Lab with Tinkercad
Ages 6–12

Join us for the 3D Character Design Lab, where young creators become digital artists, designers, and engineers while learning to design their own original 3D characters using Tinkercad.

Students will explore the exciting world of 3D modeling by transforming simple shapes into unique characters, creatures, heroes, and mascots. Through fun, hands-on design challenges, participants will develop creativity, problem-solving skills, spatial reasoning, and confidence using professional design tools.

Throughout the program, students will learn:

• Introduction to 3D design and modeling
• Tinkercad tools and workspace navigation
• Shape manipulation, scaling, and alignment
• Character design and storytelling
• Engineering design and creative problem-solving
• Preparing models for 3D printing
• Presenting and showcasing their designs

Final Project

Each student will create and present an original 3D character that demonstrates their creativity and mastery of Tinkercad's design tools. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work and explain the creative process behind their designs.

Registration Requirement

This program is open to students ages 6–12.

The only requirement to participate is obtaining a Member Card. Both the student and a parent/guardian must complete the Member Card registration using the link below before attending the workshop.
