2nd Annual Rhythms & Movements of African American Culture Festival

This February, immerse yourself in a transformative celebration of Black history, culture, and artistic expression! The R3X PROJECT, produced by the Asase Yaa Cultural Arts Foundation and executive produced by K. Osei Williams, returns for its second year, building on the success of our inaugural event. The festival is a revolutionary platform honoring the past while reimagining the future of African American cultural expression.

February 12-14, 2025, School Performances, 10AM& 12:30PM, 6 performances ($20)

An exploration of leadership, unity, and the story of Sundiata Keita, The Lion King. This powerful experience features The Experimental Theater for our school-based partners.

February 13, 2025; 7:30PM; 1 performance ($35)

A tribute to cultural leaders who paved the way for African American dance. Featuring the Asase Yaa Youth Ensemble, FIYAA Forces of Nature Incredible Youth Arts Alliance, and Ife Youth Dance Theater.

February 14, 2025; 7:30PM; 1 performance ($35)

A musical performance reimagining iconic works by legendary artists. Featuring Weedie Braimah and Balla Kouyate, this performance celebrates the vibrant legacy of African American music.

February 15-16, 2025; 7:30PM & 3:00PM; 2 performances ($35)

A dynamic dance performance blending traditional and contemporary West African expressions. Featuring the Asase Yaa African American Dance Theater, this performance is sure to captivate!
