Northern Ireland AeroPress Championship 2026
The NI AeroPress Championship returns on Sunday 23rd August 2026 at The Roast Works, Belfast.
Whether you’re competing for the title or coming along to spectate, expect an action-packed event celebrating coffee in Northern Ireland.
One competitor will be crowned the Northern Ireland AeroPress Champion, earning the chance to represent Northern Ireland at the World AeroPress Championship Finals in Mexico, with flights and three nights’ accommodation included in their prize pot.
Alongside the competition, you’ll have the opportunity to taste some exceptional coffees from our sponsors including local roasters and coffee importers.
We’ll also have great food, local beer, soft drinks and plenty of coffee throughout the day. Sponsor and vendor announcements are coming soon!

Event Details
Date: Sunday 23rd August 2026
Time: Doors open at 3:00pm. First round begins promptly at 4:00pm. Competitors must arrive by 3:00pm for registration and briefing.
Venue: The Roast Works, Balmoral Road (off Boucher Road), Belfast, BT12 6QA
Rules: We will be following the official World AeroPress Championship Rules.
Coffee: The competition coffee has been sourced by Raw Material and will be roasted by Exemplar Coffee. Every competitor will receive one 250g bag of the competition coffee ahead of the event for practice, with a further 250g provided on the day for competition use.
The coffee will be a total mystery until the evening. Practice coffee will be roasted Saturday 8th of August and made available for collection/posted week commencing 10th August. The competition coffee will be roasted Wednesday 19th of August.
Prizes: World AeroPress Championship trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, plus prizes from our fantastic sponsors. Full prize details will be announced soon.
