2026 Juneteenth Jubilee: West Harlem
About this Event
Come on out for our 6th Annual Juneteenth celebration: Saturday, June 20, 2025 , from 12pm to 3pm. This year we're on the West 128th Street block, between Frederick Douglass Blvd. & Saint Nicholas -- with all the same fun: music, street games, chess, FREE books, face painting, art projects, readings, fresh juice, a magic show and live music.
We all need this, and we welcome everyone, friends old and new.
Hosted since 2020 by Kids Passport To Adventure and Made for Me Books, this event is for the community to mark this important freedom holiday with a joyful gathering. We bring you this event with our partners: Uptown Team Dreamers, Ayana Lowe (live music), Juiceworx, Blue balloon, Appalachian Mountain Club - and all of our volunteers.
Help us mark this day, when 2 years after emancipation, the last of those who were enslaved (in Texas), were told they were finally FREE.
