About this Event

Join our Lunch & Learn!

As cities around the globe continue to become larger, hotter and more congested, extreme events like Europe’s recent Heat Domes have produced prolonged high temperatures triggering thousands of heat-related deaths and overwhelmed emergency health networks. Join our health symposium featuring SmithGroup principal Landscape Architect and University of Michigan lecturer Keenan Gibbons as he shares groundbreaking thermal case studies using drone data and identifies ways to intervene and prevent future crisis in our communities.

Enjoy complimentary sandwiches and refreshments, followed by an optional guided walk exploring the Nature Center’s 14+ miles of scenic trails winding through woods, wetlands, and prairies. This FREE symposium is open to the public. Space is limited. Reserve your spot before 9/25/2026.
