The 2026 ASA Invitational will be held at the 2026 Royal Brisbane Show (Ekka), held at the Stockmens Bar and Grill area.
As this is the 150th anniversary of the Ekka, we have a few special things on their way we will announce as soon as they're confirmed.
The Invitational is a unique show with no weight classes, and all events either being allometrically scored or set based on a competitors bodyweight at the time of the actual event. We are also unique in that we're one of the only shows in the world to pay all competitors who have qualified by winning their weight division at an ASA qualifier, with additional prize money also paid to the winners on the day.
While we're also in discussions with sponsors and the Ekka events team about some wish list events/equipment for this competition, we have a tentative events list - there may be one or two changes, but these will likely be the events for the competition.
Event 1: Conans Wheel (weight increases every revolution)
Event 2: The Stump Hold (max time)
Event 3: Duck Walk > Power Stairs (fastest time)
Event 4: Log Press (choice of weights)
Event 5: The Farmhand - Odd Object Loading Medley
