Come and bathe in the saxophonic light!
A rare treat for the true saxophone aficionados out there - you can appreciate the saxophone in all its glory with the GaHaRoBa Quartet! And as a special treat for this performance they will feature the vocal stylings of Charlotte Mclean on some brand new original arrangements of jazz standards and some of Charlotte and Andrew Garton's collaborative compositions.
This gig will feature wonderfully subtle and diverse ensemble playing and soloing from all members of GaHaRoBa, as well as original compositions and arrangements that deftly use the group's unique resources to create remarkably compelling performances.
GaHaRoBa Saxophone Quartet is a joyful meeting of four fine saxophone playing mates who have performed with local and national artists including Mojo Juju, Mike Nock, Rhythm Society Dance Orchestra, James Morrison, Dale Barlow, Miguel, Bullhorn, The Holy Rollercoasters, Barksdale Brass Band, The Enthusiastic Musicians Orchestra, The West End Composers Collective, Steve Newcomb, Mal Wood’s Bowery Hot 5 and The Rooftops and regularly featured at festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, Womad, Caloundra Music Festival, Bluesfest and many more.
