2025 Project Cicero-- INDIVIDUAL Volunteer Registration

Project Cicero distributes 125,000+ gently used & new children"s books for FREE, to NYC public school teachers serving in under- resourced schools.
Volunteers are needed to help organise, sort & display the books.
Adults and children 6th grade and older.

**IMPORTANT***This is the VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION, only for HELPING at the event and NOT for taking books home

This event is happening Thursday MARCH 6th-Sunday MARCH 9th

Volunteers needed:

Thursday March 6th & Friday March 7th--- in the afternoon 2:00-5:00

Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th -- All day, 9:30-6:00

NOTE: For teachers & librarians wishing to take books for your school, please register at www.projectcicero.org starting Feb. 1st. Registering here as a VOLUNTEER, DOES NOT allow you to collect books to take home. THIS SITE is volunteering to help ONLY.

To Register as a Volunteer, we prefer TWO hours or more. Please be sure to select a ticket for each hour you plan to attend. (for example, if coming from 1:00-4:00 then select a ticket in each category 1:00-2:00, 2:00-3:00 AND 3:00-4:00).

FAQs

Is there a minimum age for volunteers?

Yes-- students must be in 6th grade or older. A chaperone is encouraged for middle school students, please contact [email protected]

IIf you are a group organizer overseeing multiple attendees, you can contact us at [email protected] to discuss a group registration in lieu of having each attendee register separately.

If I am part of a group, do I register here?

IF your group organizer is taking care of it, then you do NOT register here separately!!-- the organizer will have the list.

BUT if your group is asking each member to register individually, then YES, please register here and there will be a slot to write the name of your group (XXX from YYY School, or XXX Alumni Group, XXX School Track Team, etc.)

Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?

It is helpful for us to scan, consider taking a photo of the QR code on your phone.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, that is fine if the person attending tells us when arriving and checking in.
