About this Event
Project Cicero is a one time event, March 7th-9th, redistributes 150,000+ gently used & new children's books for NYC Public School Teachers in under-resourced schools, to come & select for FREE to take back to their classrooms. Over the course of the event, 1000+ teachers will attend in one hour slots. Volunteers are needed to sort, display and help teachers select the books they need.
**IMPORTANT***This registration is for the GROUP COORDINATOR ONLY. Please register the amount of people you will be bringing in EACH HOUR, up to 20.
ONLY YOU will be our contact, WE WILL NOT have the names of your group members, nor do we want the individual names.

Project Cicero will have Community Service Letters to confirm participation, on site.
This event is happening Thursday MARCH 7th-Sunday MARCH 9th
Volunteers needed:
Friday March 7th--- in the afternoon 2:00-5:00
Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th -- All day, 9:30-6:00
Volunteers (Adults, all students 6th grade and older) are needed to help Project Cicero sort, organize, display and distribute gently-used children's books to teachers from under-resourced public schools in NYC. Over 150,000 books will be processed.
NOTE: For teachers & librarians wishing to take books for your school, please register at www.projectcicero.org starting Feb. 1st. Registering here as a VOLUNTEER, DOES NOT allow you to collect books to take home. THIS SITE is volunteering to help ONLY.
To Register as a Volunteer, we prefer TWO hours or more. Please be sure to select a ticket for each hour you plan to attend. (for example, if coming from 1:00-4:00 then select a ticket in each category 1:00-2:00, 2:00-3:00 AND 3:00-4:00).

FAQs
Is there a minimum age for volunteers?
Yes-- students must be in 6th grade or older. A chaperone is encouraged for middle school students, please contact [email protected]
IIf you are a group organizer overseeing multiple attendees, you can contact us at [email protected] to discuss a group registration in lieu of having each attendee register separately.
If I am part of a group, do I register here?
IF your group organizer is taking care of it, then you do NOT register here separately!!-- the organizer will have the list.
BUT if your group is asking each member to register individually, then YES, please register here and there will be a slot to write the name of your group (XXX from YYY School, or XXX Alumni Group, XXX School Track Team, etc.)

Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?
It is helpful for us to scan, consider taking a photo of the QR code on your phone.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, that is fine if the person attending tells us when arriving and checking in.
