Our 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training will start in November 2024 and run until May 2025.
This training will qualify you as a Yoga Teacher, with the knowledge to teach both Yin and Yang styles of yoga. You'll take a deep dive into the rich history and philosophy of this wonderful practice with plenty of time for discussion and questions.
We will carefully study key postures, breaking each one down so that you understand the purpose and function of each. You'll have plenty of led practice as well as an abundance of teaching practice which will help you to create and teach your own sequences with confidence and understanding. We will study yoga-based anatomy and physiology with the leading experts. You'll learn how to teach to individuals, even in a group setting and will have an understanding of why a pose might look and feel different to different people, and how you can adapt yoga poses in order to help each person find a safe practice for their body.
You'll also benefit from a Business of Yoga course which will give you all the tools you need to set up your own yoga business and get started (if you so choose, there is no obligation to set up a business or start teaching). The Business of Yoga course is built from Allison's experiences of over 25 years in business development, 10 of those years have been spent building Hot Yoga Edinburgh from a small hobby business into the thriving, award winning studio it is today.
