Sophisticated Simplicity in Watercolor
Areas of discussion will include:
-Simplifying the scene
-Working from reference material
-Use of artistic license
-Developing strong compositions
-Atmospheric perspectives
-Visual language
-The Sheer JOY of painting!
Discussions and demonstrations will emphasize the importance of developing dynamic shapes, values and contrast and edge quality to produce sound compositions. Participants can work on the same subject matter as the instructor or can choose to work from their own reference material with individual guidance as necessary all in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere.
