Women’s Retreat 2025 - All women of the church (and their family and friends) are invited to take part in this year’s Women’s Retreat. The retreat will take place on MLK Weekend (January 17-19) at the Holiday Inn and Suites on 17th Street in Ocean City. The theme of this year’s retreat is “This is My Story, This is My Song.” We’ll be looking at our own stories of faith and the call to witness to our faith. It’s going to be a great weekend filled with Bible study, presentations, and more – also, a lot of time to spend with friends, old and new.
The retreat brochure is available on the Welcome Center and front door kiosk, and it includes all of the details you’ll need to know. But here’s a preview of some of them:
- All of the rooms are oceanfront suites, with two queen beds, a sofa bed, and a full kitchenette.
- The meal plan for the retreat will cover Saturday’s meals. You’re invited to bring your own food, etc. for your Sunday morning meal, or go to the coffee shop or restaurant in the hotel. (We made that decision because it takes quite a bit off of the cost of the retreat, and because each room does have a kitchen, and because Sunday mornings finds participants trying to pack things up for the return trip home.)
- Costs for the retreat (per person):
o Single – $375
o Double – $275
o Triple – $$240
o Quad - $ 220
- Payments will be due on November 15th and December 15th.
- To register, fill out the form and attach your first payment, then turn it into the church office, or mail it in to Elkton UMC, 219 E Main St, Elkton MD 21921. Please do not put the for in the offering plate.
We hope all women of the church will consider coming along and bringing their friends with them. We know it will be a time of growing closer to Christ and stronger in our witness to his love for us and for others.
