Join us for three exciting, hands-on taster sessions!

Taster 1 - Soaring with Abbas Ibn Firnas

In this session, young people will explore the wonders of flight through creativity, experimentation and imagination — inspired by the story of Abbas ibn Firnas, a pioneering Muslim inventor from Andalusia whose curiosity about the skies and brilliant engineering helped shape early ideas about flight. This session will be held at the GWP Northern Community Centre, Fri 30th Jan 6:30-8:30 pm, in sha Allah

Taster 2 - A Taste of Ramadan

For our second session, young people will learn how to make some tasty Ramadan treats themselves and sharpen their cooking skills in sha Allah. We will also reflect on the importance of Ramadan and what we can do to grow in our deen during it. This session will be held at the GWP Northern Community Centre, Fri 6th Feb 6:30-8:30, in sha Allah.

Taster 3 - Campfire Fun

For our third and final taster session, we will meet at the 24th Abingdon Scout Group Campsite, where we will have an exciting campfire in sha Allah. We will toast marshmallows, play campfire games and enjoy the night sky. This session is weather-dependent, if it is raining, we will replace it with a different activity in sha Allah. Please note this session will be held at 24th Abingdon Scout Campsite, Fri 13th Feb 6:30-8:30, in sha Allah.
