1st Annual Barbecue Showdown, Smoke & Sizzle!

Get Ready for the 1st Annual LifeQuest Foundation Smoke and Sizzle!
Join us in person for an awesome day of smoky flavors, friendly competition, and good vibes. Whether you're a BBQ pro or just love to eat, this cookoff is the place to be. Bring your appetite and cheer on your favorite grill masters as they battle it out for the top prize. It’s all about great food and even better company. Don’t miss out on this sizzling event!
Individual Dinner Tickets:
$60 each and include the following...
A BBQ dinner featuring chicken, ribs, tri tip and pork. Side dishes featuring baked beans, mac n' cheese, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and a dessert. Beverages include water, iced tea or lemonade.
There will be live music and access to our auction and raffle!!
Cocktails will be available for purchase at the Cowboy Bar.
One vote for the BBQ contest.
Cook-Off Contestant Information:
$150 Entry Fee (Can sign-up as an Individual or a Team)
Deadline to sign-up is July 24th 2026.
We provide the meat for you or your team to prepare for the cook-off.
Please bring your own marinade, spices, rubs, utensils, etc. to prepare/cook your meat.
Please bring your own grill, smoker, or Treger, along with any propane or extension cords needed to run your equipment. Power is available for free.
Each participant or team will be cooking enough meat to feed roughly 10-15 people.
Guests will be the judges of the meat item you have prepared.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be awarded!

Participants can arrive at the fairgrounds on the day of the event as early as 10am to begin setting up and cooking their meats.

Please drop off all donations to LifeQuest Elko, located at 1515 7th Street, Elko, NV 89801. Donations are due by August 3rd.
All proceeds generated from this event will provide scholarships to our local community for Equine-Assisted Therapy and additional mental health services. Thank you!
