Great Humboldt Duck Race 2026

Join us for a splash of fun at the Great Humboldt Duck Race on the final Friday of July at 9AM. As the museum’s annual fundraiser, the Great Humboldt Duck Race has become one of Elko’s unique family events. Every summer, thousands of rubber duckies are adopted by supporters of the Museum, and then City of Elko Fire Department flushes them down Angel Park hill where they race to the finish line. The quickest duck wins its adopter $1,500. The last duck to cross the finish line wins the $250 prize sponsored by Everything Elko! Proceeds support the Museum’s programs and projects for the year.
