10th Annual Diversity in Medicine Conference
About this Event
PRW's Annual Diversity in Medicine Conference is designed by experienced health professionals of color with the needs of students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine at its core. For nearly a decade, the conference has created space for aspiring healthcare professionals to access the actionable guidance, direct connections, and meaningful community needed to move forward on their journey.
This year's 10th Annual Conference "It Takes A Decade To Make A Doctor" features:
- Four programming tracks serving students from high school through graduate school—Pre-Med, Pre-Nursing/Allied Health, High School, and Community Health Workers
- Step-by-step application strategies and interactive workshops
- Face-to-face connections with admissions officers, medical students, and practicing physicians
- Community health worker training in trauma-informed practice, doula support, CPR certification, and policy advocacy
We are looking forward to students and our community leaving the weekend with clear next steps, meaningful connections, and the confidence to move forward on their path to healthcare careers.
