It’s so good to be back! Join us for La Casa Del Son with Maestra Luanda Pau and the incredible DJ Richard Fallon. This is 5 hours of intensive Cuban training and glorious social dancing—perfect for warming up the winter months!
The next session is Sunday, December 14th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Acosta Dance Centre (Woolwich SE18 6BH).
Event Objective
This program is designed to guide you from foundational steps to the joy of social partner dancing, making it perfect for all levels, from beginners to intermediate/advanced dancers. We aim to create a unique, authentic Casa del Son experience right here in London!
(Note on Space: We are actively considering moving the workshop to a larger space if we reach capacity. The objective is to make room for a gig audience, so invite a friend and help us fill the floor!)
Full Schedule
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM: Son Cubano Workshop (2.5 Hours)
Level: Beginners & Intermediate
Focus: Dive deep into the fundamentals of Son Cubano, exploring basic footwork, connection in partner work, and the genre’s unique musicality. The session offers clear, progressive instruction adapted for all levels.
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Son Cubano Social Practice (2.5 Hours)
With: DJ Richard Fallon
Experience: Enjoy an authentic Cuban social dancing experience! You can practise what you’ve learned in a relaxed, fun, and welcoming environment. Mingle, dance, and enjoy classic and contemporary Son music selected by one of the UK’s finest Latin music DJs.
