Think your honey tastes best? This is an excellent opportunity to bring a jar (minimum of 4 oz.) of your best tasting honey and let your fellow members judge.🍯
Join us for our fun and educational Black Jar Honey Tasting. Each jar of honey will be assigned a number so no one knows whose honey they’re tasting—not even the beekeeper who entered it! This keeps the tasting completely anonymous and allows everyone, including those who entered honey, to vote for their favorite based solely on taste. 🙈🍯
Each member will taste ALL entries (this is to ensure that all entries have an equal opportunity) then each member will cast one vote for their favorite honey, and we’ll reveal the winner at the end. The winning honey from this meeting will go to the ✨Florida State Beekeeper Association Conference✨ to represent the Santa Rosa Beekeeper Association—a huge honor!👏👏👏
Our speaker of the month Roy Smith will be reviewing the rules and judging criteria for the upcoming Escarosa Honey Show, offering tips on how to prepare your entries and what judges look for. Whether you’re entering for the first time or looking to improve your score, this is a great opportunity to learn.
