πΆπ€ Rock the Cynthia Pavilion Floatilla Party Series: Outlaw Music Festival π€πΆ
Willie Nelson & Family, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Margo Price, Lily Meola, Particle Kid + Daniel Lanois are taking over The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and The Woodlands Paddle Crew is floating out to enjoy the outlaw-country concert energy from the water! π€ ππΈ
This is going to be a long, legendary Sunday on Lake Woodlands. Bring your paddleboard, kayak, lights, friends, snacks, and your best outlaw-country vibes as we tie up, float, listen, sing along, and enjoy the show from the public water outside the venue.
π€ Music Spotlight
This lineup is stacked from afternoon through late night!
Willie Nelson & Family closes out the night with the outlaw-country legend himself, while Wilco brings their iconic alternative-rock sound and Sheryl Crow brings the big hits, powerhouse vocals, and feel-good singalong energy.
Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Margo Price, Lily Meola, and Particle Kid + Daniel Lanois round out a full day of Americana, roots, country, rock, storytelling, guitar riffs, and Texas summer concert energy.
π‘ Simple, No Host Needed
This is as easy as it gets: paddle out, tie up, float, and enjoy the music.
This event is designed so the crew can meet new paddle friends, enjoy Lake Woodlands, and catch the concert sound from the water together. There may not be an assigned host for the entire event, but the crew will be easy to find once we are gathered in the Pavilion cove area.
I will add a visual parking, walking, launch, and paddle route map in the comments so everyone can follow the plan easily.
Important: The Pavilion concert itself is ticketed. Our group is enjoying the music from public water outside the venue. Please respect all venue staff, public-access rules, private property, and docks.
π Parking & Launch Info
Primary Parking / Meetup Plan β Green Lot
This is the same general parking plan used for our July 4th paddle event.
Riva Row Green Lot
2101 Riva Row
The Woodlands, TX 77380
π¨ Arrive by 12:00 PM. The show begins at 2:00 PM, and parking will fill quickly with concert traffic. Showing up 2 hours early gives you the best chance at getting a spot and getting your board, cooler, and gear down to the water without rushing.
Walk your board and items to the public dock area to the left in front of the apartments.
β οΈ Do NOT use the docks directly in front of Riva Row Boat House. Those docks are for renters and Boat House operations. You could be asked to leave or get in trouble. Use the public launch area shown on the map in the comments.
Option 2 Backup Parking β Whole Foods / Hughes Landing Parking Deck
1925 Hughes Landing Blvd
The Woodlands, TX 77380
Park in the public garage behind the Whole Foods and Hughes Landing area, then carry your board to the public water access near Hughes Landing and Lakeβs Edge. This may be the best backup option once the Green Lot fills.
Option 3 Possible Backup Parking β Northshore Park
2505 Lake Woodlands Dr
The Woodlands, TX 77381
Northshore may be another backup option if spaces are available, but remember that Northshore closes at 11:00 PM. Willie Nelson & Family is currently scheduled to play until about 11:00 PM, so only use this option if you are prepared to paddle back and leave before the park closes.

π About the Series
The Rock the Cynthia Pavilion Floatilla Party Series follows the Pavilion concert schedule. The music changes, but the paddle plan stays similar: park, launch, paddle out, tie up, float, and enjoy the night together.
Some concerts may have a formal crew host while others are simple show-up-and-float paddle nights. Either way, bring your gear, meet the crew, and letβs keep building the biggest paddle community in The Woodlands.
