Think opera’s not for kids? Think again! Cautionary Tales is a bold, brilliantly funny opera for families and children aged 7+, bringing the outrageous tales of Matilda, Henry, Jim, and Rebecca thrillingly to life.
With music by composer Errollyn Wallen and direction by Sarah Baxter, this playful, pacey production is packed with charm, chaos, and just the right amount of dark humour. Conductor Stephen Barlow leads a wonderful ensemble of performers: Leanne Fitzgerald, Eiméar Harper, William Pearson, and Dylan Rooney.
Expect inventive design from Zia Bergin-Holly and eye-catching costumes by Jenny Whyte – all presented in collaboration with The Lir Academy. Whether you're young or young at heart, this is a joyful theatrical experience that promises big laughs and clever twists.
Tuesday 16 September 10.30am and 1pm (Special Rate for Schools) and Wednesday 17 September 7pm
