May Plant Spirit~ LilacMay’s plant spirit is one of the most beloved and fleeting blooms of spring. Lilac arrives in abundance, fills the air with her unmistakable fragrance, and just as quickly, she’s gone.
After clearing and releasing with Dandelion, we step into a softer space this month. One that invites us to feel, to remember, and to fully experience the beauty of the moment we’re in.
For generations, lilac has been associated with:
✨ Memory and nostalgia
✨ First love and emotional awakening
✨ The tender balance of beauty and impermanence
Her scent alone can open doorways in the body bringing forward emotion, memory, and presence in a way that words often cannot.
During this gathering, we will:
🌿 Explore the folklore, history, and deeper teachings of lilac
🌿 Learn how scent and plant spirit connect to the emotional body
🌿 Work with lilac through a guided sensory meditation
🌿 Create a simple lilac infusion or preparation to take home
🌿 Receive practices to continue working with lilac throughout the month
These gatherings are about more than learning plants, they are about remembering how to be in relationship with the living world, and with yourself. 🪻

Green Community: Working With Plant Spirit is a once monthly container devoted to meeting one plant at a time through education, ritual, handcrafting, and sound. Together, we will move through the year building relationship with the green world in a grounded, accessible, and reverent way.
