Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most solemn time of the Christian year. On this day, the Church commemorates our Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem and turns toward the events of His Passion.The liturgy will begin with the Blessing of the Palms. Weather permitting, the procession will begin outside the church before moving into the nave, recalling the crowds who greeted Christ with cries of Hosanna.
The Passion Gospel will be read in a participatory manner, with roles for Narrator, Reader, and Congregation, allowing us to enter more fully into the sacred drama of Christ’s suffering.
