Join Salsa Dancing Nanaimo every Wednesday evening for an unforgettable night of Latin music, dancing, and community at Maffeo Sutton Park (Swy-a-Lana Lagoon) on Nanaimo's beautiful waterfront.
Whether you're taking your very first salsa steps or you've been dancing for years, everyone is welcome. Enjoy an evening filled with Cuban salsa, Son Cubano, bachata, rueda de casino, and plenty of social dancing in one of Vancouver Island's most scenic outdoor venues.
Expect enchuflas, guapeas, dile que no, cross-body leads, shines, cumbia steps, smooth turns, laughter, and a vibrant community that shares a love for Latin dance.
This weekly tradition began in 2021, thanks to the vision of Alejandro, affectionately known as the Godfather of Salsa in Nanaimo, whose passion helped establish one of Vancouver Island's largest and most welcoming salsa communities. A thunderous thank you to the Salsa Dancing Nanaimo Coordinator, Desiree, the Crimson Coast Dance Society, and the vibrant Latin dance community of salseros and salseras who keep the community alive and thriving.
