Join East Coast Hikers for a meaningful evening walk across the Jordan Bridge as we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and all who served. We’ll enjoy scenic views of the Elizabeth River while walking together as a community.

🕡 Meet: 6:15 PM
🥾 Walk Begins: 6:30 PM
📍 Meet: Shelter at Elizabeth River Park
📍 Address: 1400 Elizabeth River Way, Chesapeake, VA 23324
🚗 Parking: Free parking is available at Elizabeth River Park.
🚻 Restrooms: Available at the park.
🐕 Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
Walk Details:
* Distance: 3.5 miles round trip
* Terrain: Paved pedestrian walkway with a gradual incline across the bridge
* Pace: Casual social pace with regrouping as needed
Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Those who wish are welcome to wear red, white, and blue.
Important:
* Please RSVP so we know to expect you.
* Arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time.
* We’ll start promptly at 6:30 PM.
