✨ Benefit Dance for the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame! ✨
Join the San Diego Swing Dance Club on Sunday, June 28th at 1:00 PM for a very special afternoon of West Coast Swing, community, and support for the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
We are excited to welcome Champion Instructors Sharlot Bott & Mark Scheuffele for a special Intermediate/Advanced West Coast Swing lesson.
Mark and Sharlot are best friends and husband and wife who have enjoyed social dancing with each other for nearly two decades. West Coast Swing is their passion in common. They love to create and challenge themselves in new directions with the music and with each other.
Together and with other partners they earned their Champion status in a variety of categories, Showcase, Classic, Strictly Swing and Jack & Jill. They are both inductees into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame, and Sharlot in the World Swing Dance Council Hall of Fame.
In late 2008 Mark and Sharlot partnered exclusively to compete in Strictly Swings. Together they created a new and unique style and signature moves.
Sharlot and Mark assume multiple roles at the Nation’s Top Swing Dance Events, local events, and abroad; including, Workshops, Judging and Chief Judging, Referee, Exhibition, Intensives, and Private Instruction. They are a powerful team on and off the dance floor who bring years of experience, knowledge, and history to the swing dance community. They are respected as leaders and admired as dancers. Driven and passionate about West Coast Swing, their desire is to preserve its integrity, foundation and history while embracing its new directions.
And the fun does not stop with the lesson...

Dance Admission: 2:30 - 5pm
Members - $10
Non-Members - $15
Yearly Membership - $35
San Diego residents can enjoy their initial dance experience for FREE. (Workshop not included)
The dance starts at 2:30 with DJ Sharlot Bott
San Diego Swing Club is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1970 to preserve West Coast Swing dancing.
MUSIC FORMAT:
San Diego Swing Dance Club plays predominately 70% West Coast Swing and a 30% mix of Country 2 Step, Nightclub 2 Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Hustle, etc. DJs are receptive to requests.
