8th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival

From classic scoops to wildly creative frozen creations, over 30 of San Diego's best ice cream, gelato, and paleta makers will take over North Park for an afternoon packed with flavor, fun, and community. Ice cream lovers of all ages will enjoy exclusive one-day-only creations you won't find anywhere else, along with some familiar favorites.

Each General Admission ticket includes 10 two-ounce samples— that's roughly 3½ scoops of ice cream! You'll have plenty to taste your way through the festival and explore a wide variety of flavors all in one place. Tickets are shareable, so feel free to let a friend or little one try a bite. Please note: this is not a fenced or gated event; guests are welcome to come and enjoy the atmosphere for free, but a ticket is required to receive samples from vendors.

The First Scoop Experience ticket gives a limited number of guests exclusive early entry from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. with priority access to every vendor, so you can taste more, wait less, and get first dibs on the festival’s most anticipated flavors — including select small-batch “First Scoop” flavors available only during this early-access window. This upgraded experience also includes:

• An exclusive Ice Cream Amor x Mon Chourie dessert collab
• Live-printed custom tote by Sunsets & Brainwaves
• Limited-edition First Scoop pin and engraved tag by Signs of Our Lives
• Custom First Scoop fan
• Full General Admission access all day, including ten 2 oz tastings

This experience is centered around early access to the festival grounds, giving you priority access to every vendor and exclusive flavors during the first hour. First Scoop Guests are free to explore the full event, including shaded seating areas and activations throughout the Mini Park.

All event attendees can also look forward to live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a dedicated Chill Zone, the perfect spot to relax and recharge between scoops.

Our celebrity judges will take on the ultimate tasting challenge, sampling the most creative, delicious, and unique flavors from our incredible vendors to determine Scoop San Diego’s Best Flavor Award!

To be eligible, flavors must be crafted in-house by participating shops. This award celebrates original creations.

Celebrity Guest Judging Panel: This year's all-star panel will crown San Diego's best ice cream creation:

• Sam Zien — The one and only Sam the Cooking Guy, San Diego culinary legend
• Zuliya Khawaja — Top Chef alum and returning fan favorite, bringing her trained culinary eye back to the judging panel for another year.
• Becca Kufrin & Thomas Jacobs — Bachelor Nation fan favorites joining the panel for the first time!

How the judging works:

• Exclusive Flavor Entries — Participating vendors submit their signature flavor for consideration.
• Top 10 Selection — Before the festival, our judges vote on the top 10 flavors they're most excited to try.
• Live Taste Test — On festival day, the judges visit each of the top vendors and sample their flavors live on the floor.
• And the Winner Is… — One flavor will be crowned Scoop San Diego's Best Flavor Award, announced onsite and on Scoop San Diego's Instagram!
