Jack, a troubled psychologist, finds himself drawn to his client, Ava, over the course of their therapy sessions. In his own therapy with Tara, he attempts to explore these feelings but falters – resulting in a breakdown in the very safeguards surrounding therapy. This gripping narrative delves into relationships, boundaries and the repercussions of our actions.
Told through duologues between the four characters, Stable is a modern cautionary tale. The play is a journey through the slow and dangerous collapse of a therapist’s internal compass leading to devastating consequences. It poses the question: Is the misuse of power ever forgivable?
